Client in his mid-30s was carrying heavy equipment when he fell, injuring his low back and knee. He underwent a lumbar fusion and right knee surgery, with resulting blood clots from the latter. The client later developed adjacent segment disease in lumbar disc(s) above his fusion. The Pitts Law Firm successfully obtained medical and vocational evidence that the client was permanently totally disabled due to the last injury alone and settled the case with Employer/Insurer for $235,000. A settlement was also reached with the Second Injury Fund for permanent partial disability benefits.
